About these times
Times are calculated astronomically for the city you choose, in Europe/London time with daylight saving handled automatically. Fajr and Isha use the 18 degree sun angle followed by most UK masjids, with the angle-based rule for summer nights when the sun never reaches 18 degrees below the horizon. Asr follows the Hanafi school by default, when the shadow of an object is twice its length, and can be switched to the Standard (Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanbali) time. Dhuhr is shown two minutes after zawal and Maghrib one minute after sunset for safety. Local masjids may differ by a few minutes, especially for Fajr and Isha, so follow your masjid for congregation.

What time is Fajr in London today?
Today’s Fajr time for London is shown at the top of this page and updates automatically every day. Fajr here is calculated at 18 degrees, the most common convention among UK masjids.
What is the Hanafi Asr time and why is it later?
In the Hanafi school Asr begins when an object’s shadow is twice its length, later than the Standard time used by the Shafi’i, Maliki and Hanbali schools where it is once its length. Use the Asr switch on this page to see either. Both are valid, follow your school and your masjid.

Does the timetable show Ramadan Sehri and Iftar times?
Yes. During Ramadan the Fajr tile is labelled “Sehri ends” and the Maghrib tile “Iftar”, and the monthly table gives every day of the month for printing.
Why are summer Isha times so late in the UK?
In June and July the sun does not go 18 degrees below the horizon in most of the UK, so true twilight never ends. This timetable uses the angle-based rule to estimate Isha, which most scholars accept. Many masjids combine Maghrib and Isha or fix Isha a set time after Maghrib in high summer, so check locally.
